Another Reason Why Dell SUCKS !!

... Because every time u get a hardware under warranty u get a refurbished one ! My first HD in my laptop was brand new... after it blew up I was sent a refurbished one eventhough my laptop was under warranty and after the refurbished one blew its head too I was sent another refurbished one.... So as I see it Dell is just waiting until my laptop warranty runs out and then they can just say sorry but we cant send u another hard drive !!! If they sent me a new HD after my original blew its head I don't think I would be in the situation I am now.

Heat Issues In Dell Inspiron 5100 and 5150

The other thing i noticed a few months back was the excessive heat my Dell Inspiron 5100 would generate... I didnt really pay attention to this until today when my laptop just shut off all by itself while I was transferring gigs worth of data from my backup server... no beep no reboot... just totally went dead. Initially I thought I might have installed the HD incorrectly and the OS just shut off but then I didnt remember seeing the hard ware related blue screen error. So I did some research and found out that thousands of people all around the world are having this issue with Inspiron 5100 and 5150.

Apparently, according to many it is a design flaw by Dell that does not dissipate the heat properly... however, a few simple things might keep ur Inspiron and the heat sink working the way it should. Here is the article that one should follow and install the software... I was able to bring my CPU temp down from 68 in idle to 46 ... and thats a tremendous jump !!!! Nevertheless, I am pissed with this laptop.... i have had to go thru two hard drives and now the flaw that heats the laptop like hell... some times its worse than hell !!

PLS go to this site and send dell an email and sign this individual's guestbook... I dunno if Dell is listening and I dont know about Michael Dell but 1400 bucks is a lot of money for most people.

Dell Inspiron 5100 SUCKS !!!!

I just got my new hard drive from dell because the one I had before blew its head.... but thats not all... this was my second hard drive because the one I had before this was a replacement for another one that blew its head too.... and so after two hard drives in less than eight months I am really starting to think if spending $1,400 on my Inspirion 5100 was worth it. As far as Dell's customer service is concerned it was a JOKE... I was on hold for TWO FREAKEN HOURS... yes I am not making this up... it was TWO HOURS !!! But I do have to admit the Indian guy from Dell's call center in Banglore or some city was pretty courteous and I did get my HD by DHL on the 2nd day after I made my call. However, now I have to return my old hard drive back and that really makes me mad because it has all my personal information !!! So I will fight that !

I was always a big fan of Dell products... I even convinced my investment firm to buy only dell products (which they did) and we are talking about a lot of computers and related equipment. So yeah Michael Dell, I feel totally betrayed.

Yes its true ! Bobbie Jean (not real name) applied for a job using Careerbuilder.com for an overseas firm. Within days of her hiring she was arrested for felony at a local bank in Texas. Whose fault is it ? According to her attorney "She has a pending felony theft case, who's going to hire (her)?" She lost her house now because she couldn't make payments.
